On the facade of the residential palace are located figural graffiti designed by Mikoláš Aleš on the theme of war and peace. The building from the 15th century is linked with a rich history dating back to the 15th century. At his time, there lived a famous Max Brod, who was a good friend of Franz Kafka. Max Brod saved his publications that Kafka originally wanted to destroy, and began to be known after his death because of published works. Franz Kafka was here when he met the love of his life Felice Bauer. Later there was a well organized celebration of their engagement that never happend.
